SWRA Meeting

 

The next South West Radiologists Association (SWRA) meeting is being held at the Peninsula Radiology Academy in Plymouth on 16th October 2015.  The meeting is free for trainees and is going to be an excellent educational experience.  In addition, there will be coffee, lunch and a social evening following the day's events.  The evening meal location and cost will be confirmed in the next few weeks.  This is definitely a date to add to your diary.

 

We would like to invite you to submit your academic work for oral presentation at the meeting.  If you have something that you feel you'd like to present, please submit a brief abstract for Dr Lavis' consideration (less than 250 words please - to robert.lavis@nhs.net ).  It can be a work in progress, so long as you will have definitely finished it by October. It can be something you've presented elsewhere, so long as you haven't presented it at the SWRA before.

Obviously, all speakers will be provided with a paper certificate.  ePortfolio teaching assessments, if required, can be completed by prior agreement with the committee.  As usual, there will be a Chairman's Prize for the best presentation.

 

In previous years, registrars from across the region have found this an invaluable forum for meeting consultants from different hospitals -- particularly for those in the higher years whose mind may be on seeking a consultant job.

The closing deadline for abstracts is 31st August.
